Guardian Tactile Systems have won the contract to supply their revolutionary ‘Peel, Bond & Walk™’ tactile ground surface indicators for a period of 3 years for Bus Stops located throughout Queensland?s 700 Metro and Rural district shelters.
This million dollar contract was awarded to Guardian Tactile Systems after exhaustive trials were carried out as to the suitability, durability and longevity of the tile. Guardian Tactiles are manufactured from a long lasting, UV stable (Polyurethane) that will not crack, peel, laminate or chip. Coupled with a cross linked adhesive the system is designed to be the easiest and best currently available for installation.
Suitable for both inside and outside applications, the system allows the installer to minimise any downtime or interruption caused to pedestrian traffic therefore allowing the tiles to be immediately walked upon once fixed to the substrate.
Guardian Tactiles come with a 10 years guarantee and are available in 5 standard colours however, they can be manufactured in any colour* should the need arise. * Minimum number of tiles to be produced not less than 500.
Guardian Tactile ground surface indicators are used to warn people who are blind or vision impaired that they are approaching a hazardous situation. It may be a bus stop, street crossing, set of stairs, a train platform edge, or an overhead obstruction where they can be injured.
